Pulling Together the Disparate

Its always amazing to me how I can gather inspiration from everything around me and blend them together to get a coherent message. Sometimes the message informs a new collection, other times it is a resounding choice of color. perhaps it is something else, altogether like a feeling or question. I love the gathering; I love the editing.

This inspiration board in my studio (as some would call it) is really just a collection of disparate parts from my world. Everything from a postcard from an amazing art show to a piece of exquisite spanish moss found on our ranch and everything in-between can be seen here. From these experiences there will be some standouts. And the standouts are filled with passion to create. This is how it begins in the studio.
